Get Involved
Your journey starts with a simple step
At Opeka, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to connect, learn, and grow within a supportive and inclusive community.
Whether you are interested in joining one of our groups, taking part in an activity, or simply learning more about what we offer, getting involved is easy. Just fill out the contact form on this page and a member of our friendly team will be in touch to chat about what you are looking for and how we can help.
We welcome individuals with a wide range of additional support needs and tailor our programmes to meet different interests, abilities, and goals. You do not need to have previous experience with any of our activities. All you need is a willingness to try something new and a desire to be part of a positive and encouraging environment.

Helping You Get Here
Since 2024, Opeka (formerly known as the CASTL Project) has offered a regular bus service in partnership with South West Community Transport. This essential service now supports our Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday groups, providing door-to-door transport to and from the Carswell Centre.
This initiative was developed in response to the ongoing shortage of drivers in the care sector, which has created real barriers for many adults with additional support needs. For some, travel difficulties have led to feelings of isolation and disconnection. Our bus service helps to overcome those challenges by making transport one less thing to worry about.
The impact has been significant. Participants who once felt unable to attend now travel with confidence, and several have experienced independent travel for the very first time. It is more than just transport. It is a gateway to freedom, friendship, and fuller participation in community life.
